Roll a Snoring Person on His Side - and Keep Him There

The partner of a snorer is often told to roll the snoring sleeper onto his or her side, since many people snore only when lying on their backs.

However, often the snorer rolls onto his back again shortly after being positioned on his side - and the snoring or "sawing logs" starts all over again.

Try this "old wives' remedy" for keeping a snoring person on his side after you've rolled him over:

Before going to bed, put a tennis ball or golf ball in a sock, and pin or stitch the sock to the seat or back of the snorer's pajamas.

Now the snoring person will be too uncomfortable to fall asleep on his back, or to stay on his back if he rolls over during the night.
